Technical Assistance
Illinois ResourceNet is committed to ensuring that the organizations we work with are ready for the rigor and challenges of managing a federal grant. With this in mind, our technical assistance services have been designed to facilitate the process and improve the quality of proposals through a review, critique, and advisory process.
Technical assistants provide guided support through the application process, including:
- Fostering partnerships among community groups and local governments to develop more comprehensive plans and for cost-sharing purposes
- Assisting in the creation of a proposal development plan
- Instructing on best practices for preparing a sustainable budget
- Refining proposals to ensure submissions are of high quality, clear and complete with an eye towards their adherence to the requirements set forth in the request for proposal and with attention to the point criteria
- Establishing relationships with federal government representatives, and capitalizing on their experiences
- Facilitating of the proposal submission process
